The NCHSAA is back to rewarding eight state champions for the first time since the subdivision era ended in 2020-21.

Before the postseason starts , Asheville Citizen Times high school sports reporter Evan Gerike and Hendersonville Times-News high school sports reporter Zachary Huber are releasing their predictions for the 2025 NCHSAA state championship games in December.
