Rejuvenated by growing public support across the state, the CPI (M) is taking major political initiatives to revamp the organization as well as to mobilize people against what they describe as ‘anti-people policies and programmes of ruling BJP’. As part of the political initiative the Tripura unit of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) , trade union arm of the party, is preparing to hold a massive rally in the Swami Vivekananda ground on November 10. The campaign for the rally on a ten point charter of demands is in final stage and a massive turn-out is expected on the day as people from different parts of the state will be mobilized for the meeting.
