When Matthew Stanifer went to the healthcare marketplace to apply for health insurance on Nov. 1, he was shocked. To cover his family, a health insurance plan that currently costs him about $559 a month, will instead cost him more than $1,300 in premiums, he said.
"I couldn't believe it. My first thought was, 'How am I going to afford this?'" Stanifer said.
