AGAWAM — There were smiles on most of the faces as elected officials capped off Election Day with a buffet at E.B.’s Restaurant.

Two of the hosts — Edward P. Borgatti and Shelley M. Borgatti-Reed — were celebrating the news that they were among the top vote-getters in the Nov. 4 town election in Agawam, and would retain their seats on the City Council and School Committee, respectively. Borgatti received 3,176 votes, while Borgatti-Reed got 2,894.

Perhaps the biggest smile was on the face of someone running her first race, however. Heather Zielenski beat all six incumbents to finish with the highest total in the School Committee race, with 3,019 votes.
