The office of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), trade union arm of the ruling BJP, was today closed down by the subdivisional administration fearing a breakdown in law and order situation owing to factional squabbles in the outfit in Dharma Nagar subdivision. Sources from Dharmanagar said that for the past many months the BMS unit that control the labour force in all sectors as well as transport workers has been rent by inner dissensions that worsened into open fights between rival factions , threatening law and order situation in the town on a number of occasions.

Fed up with the situation the subdivisional administration finally decided to act tough and this morning a team of the SDM office led by additional SDM David Halam and SDPO (Dharma Nagar) Jayanta Karmakar reached the BMS offic
