A West Lothian mum has issued a Bonfire Night warning after her young son suffered horror burns when an aerosol was thrown on to a fire and 'exploded' in his face.

Finley Burnham had gone out on his bike with his friends on September 7, 2025 when the terrifying accident happened.

The 13-year-old from Livingston was badly hurt after someone threw an aerosol onto a lit fire and it "exploded," causing excruciating burns to his face and legs.

The burning teen ran into a shop for help and staff rushed him home and phoned for an ambulance. When an ambulance hadn't turned up after 40 minutes, Finley's mum, Nicole, decided to drive Finely to hospital herself.

The 33-year-old says Finley was diagnosed with surface burns and was "lucky" that he didn't need a skin graft.
