BOZRAH, Connecticut — One person remains unaccounted for after a fire in Bozrah early Wednesday morning, officials said.
The call for the fire came in just before 3:40 a.m. on Fitchville Road.
Officials said that when fire crews arrived at the scene, the house was fully engulfed, and a garage was also on fire. The Yantic, Colchester, Lebanon, and Salen fire departments were also called to the scene for mutual aid.
Crews worked to protect a neighboring house, and officials said propane tanks also had to be secured while fighting the fire.
Bozrah Asst. Fire Chief John Way said as of 6 a.m., there was a man reported missing. There were reports he was home at the time, according to Way, and investigators will check with neighbors. Way said crews hadn't been able to enter the structures
