BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Bryan voters have elected three people to the district’s seven-seat Board of Trustees, two of whom are returning to their offices.

Felicia Benford, current vice president of the board, ran uncontested to represent Single Member District 1.

The other two available seats on Tuesday, Single Member Districts 3 and 5, had decisive outcomes.

Tim Pavlas outpaced incumbent Leo Gonzalez with 1,712 total votes.

Gonzalez has served the school board’s Single Member District 3 since 2022. He also serves on the City of Bryan’s Planning & Zoning Committee, causing some consternation among voters . He fell short with 1,047 votes.

Pavlas has worked as a banker for 25 years. In an earlier interview with KBTX, he said he wants to improve upon the work already being done.
