Emmerdale legend Mark Charnock has shared a short but sweet message with fans after fears he had left the show in dramatic scenes.

Those tuning into the ITV soap on Tuesday (November 4) were led to believe that his long-running character, Marlon Dingle, had been killed as a result of his daughter's actions.

The special episode of Emmerdale brought fans into April Windsor's turmoil, as she continues to be forced to work for Celia Daniels and her son, Ray Walters.

Fans know that April and her boyfriend, Dylan Penders, became indebted to the drug-running pair, after April was robbed at knifepoint of the drugs she was supposed to be dropping off as a favour for Dylan, who has just emerged from rehab.
