Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam leader and actor Vijay lambasted Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in his first public address months after the tragic Karur stampede. Positioning TVK as the primary rival to DMK in the upcoming assembly polls, Vijay charged that the public have lost confidence in the DMK regime.
Addressing party cadres during a special general council meeting of TVK in the outskirts of Chennai, Vijay accused the chief minister of spreading lies against the party and trying to gain political mileage in the backdrop of the tragic incident.
