KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - As Dollywood’s Harvest Festival comes to a close, you may wonder where all those big pumpkins go. Dollywood donates their massive pumpkins to Zoo Knoxville to allow the animals to have a new kind of enrichment experience.

“Well, these pumpkins have just come out of the park from our Harvest Festival. They’re one of our guest favorite attractions during the Harvest Festival. They’re our colossal pumpkins. So we bring those out and we want to be able to share those with all the animals at Zoo Knoxville,” said Dollywood PR Director Wes Ramey. “Very excited to be able to have them for enrichment activities for them to have. And just add a little bit of fun for all the guests at Zoo Knoxville on Halloween.”
