The Franke Center for the Arts is bringing nationally known comedians Yassir Lester and Henrik Blix to its stage Nov. 22, according to a community announcement.
Lester is a comedian, writer, actor and director who has appeared on Showtime’s comedy series "Black Monday." He has also starred in Fox’s "Making History" and recurred on NBC’s "Champions." Lester has written for NBC’s "Kenan," HBO’s "Girls," NBC’s "The Carmichael Show" and Netflix’s "Black AF." He is currently writing Marvel Studios’ upcoming feature "Armor Wars" and is starring in the "Sausage Party" series coming to Amazon.
Blix has written comedy for TV and performed sketch, improv and standup around the country. Most recently, he was a writer for "The Problem with Jon Stewart" on Apple TV+. He has performed for The Second
