Liam Fox has revealed that Lee Wallace opened the door for him to become Sporting JAX’s new head coach. ‌

The former Hearts coach and interim boss was confirmed as Sporting Club Jacksonville’s new manager earlier this week and will now finalise their preparations as they look to debut in the United States League next year. ‌

Mark Warburton is the sporting director at Sporting JAX and when he was looking for a new head coach he got a glowing reference on Fox from his former Rangers captain Lee Wallace. ‌

Fox and Wallace worked closely at Hearts until Fox departed in the summer.

Fox said: “I spoke to Mark at the start of the summer. He obviously knows Lee Wallace well and he was the connection for us.
