Domestic violence call leads to standoff at Mesa home; woman injured

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A standoff is underway after a domestic violence incident that hospitalized a woman in Mesa on Wednesday morning.

First responders were called to a home near University Road and Higley Road , where they found a woman with “multiple injuries,” according to the Mesa Police Department. Investigators did not provide details about what injuries the woman sustained.

Authorities are actively working on contacting the suspect, who is still inside the home.
