Donald Trump seems to have issued his reaction to Democrats sweeping the November 4 elections in certain key races.

Democrats won races in New York, with Zohran Mamdani becoming NYC’s Mayor , as well as Virginia, New Jersey and California.

Now, he seems to think he knows why Republicans were not successful.

He posted on Truth Social : “TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT,” according to Pollsters.

The New York Times noted that “Trump’s loyal Republican base turns out in big numbers only in presidential years,” while “Democrats have overperformed in every nonpresidential election year since 2017.”
