Prime Minister Mark Carney is welcoming Conservative MP Chris d’Entremont to the Liberal fold.
D’Entremont, who was elected to the Nova Scotia riding of Acadie-Annapolis, crossed the floor yesterday, bolstering the Liberal minority government ahead of a vote on the budget.
The MP says he believes that Carney’s budget offers his constituents the “best path forward.”
In Ottawa today, Prime Minister Carney said “Chris’ decision to join the government caucus at this crucial moment for our country is especially valuable and important.”
