CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati mother accused of murdering her child received a $1.5 million bond during her arraignment Wednesday morning.
Breanna Wright, 20, is facing one count each of murder, felonious assault and endangering children after her 7-month-old daughter, Leylani Wright, died on Oct. 30, Cincinnati Police Lt. Jonathan Cunningham.
The incident happened at the suspect’s home in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue on Oct. 18.
According to a complaint, Wright allegedly “caused serious physical harm by blunt force” to her daughter “resulting in the victim’s death.”
A Hamilton County prosecutor said in court that Wright and the infant were dropped off at the home around 10 or 10:30 a.m. that day.
“The baby, at that point, seemed fine,” the prosecutor said.
