LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) - Long Beach is displaying streetlight banners along Jeff Davis Avenue and the Harper McCaughan Town Green to honor military members.

The banners recognize current and retired military members who live in Long Beach or were residents before joining the service and have an immediate family member in town.

Around 50 banners are currently displayed as part of the Avenue of Heroes program.

Residents who know someone who should be included in the Avenue of Heroes can call 228-860-4000.
