KALAMAZOO, MI — One person was killed in a motorcycle crash after midnight in Kalamazoo, police said.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is investigating the fatal crash that happened early Wednesday, Nov. 5, morning.
Around 12:09 a.m., Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety crews were called to the 2400 block of Parkview Avenue for a report of a small fire.
While responding, the call was updated to a motorcycle crash with a motorcycle fully engulfed in flames.
When first responders arrived, they found the burning motorcycle and an unresponsive rider, Public Information Officer Zach Hamelton said.
Fire crews quickly put out the blaze while officers and medical personnel began life-saving efforts. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:36 a.m., police said.
