JENA, La. (KNOE) - The Jena Police Department is reminding caregivers to ensure kids wear seatbelts at all times in vehicles.
JPD made a Facebook post, noting that Chief Scott McLendon noticed several kids not wearing seatbelts while he directed school traffic.
“We know mornings can be hectic, but taking just a few extra seconds to buckle up could be the difference between a close call and a tragey,” JPD said.
JPD said everyone should be buckled up before a vehicle leaves the driveway.
“It’s not just the law; it’s love and protection in action,” JPD said.
