For most teams any appearance in the state finals would be a dream. For Barr-Reeve volleyball it’s more of an expectation.

On Saturday the Vikings will make their eighth appearances in the IHSAA volleyball state finals, all in less than 30 years. The Vikings have gone once under coach Mike James, six times under coach Amber DeCoursey and now also under Tyler Schultheis (with James and DeCoursey still helping on the bench).
