SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Inland Fisheries San Angelo District reported that a reservoir in the Concho Valley has had an "abundance of Largemouth Bass increased."
In a social media post the Inland Fisheries San Angelo District stated that they recently performed an electrofishing survey on Winters-Elm Creek Reservoir. Electrofishing is the primary method they use to survey Largemouth Bass and prey species. This process includes a boat-mounted generator that puts electricity into the water around the boat which causes the fish to be temporarily stunned and float to the surface. Each fish is netted before it is measured, weighed, and returned to the water.
