The wait is finally over as the 10th series of Shetland airs on Wednesday night, as BBC viewers watch DI Ruth Calder (Ashley Jensen) and DS Lorna Tosh McIntosh (Alison O'Donnell) take on a new case. ‌

Earlier this month, the BBC gave viewers a sneak peek at what's to come as the female officers are called to the remote village of Lunniswick to investigate the sinister murder of an elderly woman. ‌

Along with many returning faces, fans will see a string of new actors in the series as DI Calder and Tosh speak to the Lunniswick locals in an effort to find the culprit. ‌

Actress Ashley Jensen had nothing but praise when speaking about working with the newcomers on the show.
