The father of Southport dance class killer Axel Rudakubana who took the lives of three young schoolgirls says his son had 'triggers' for his anger and that he "actively hated" him. ‌

Alphonse Rudakubana told an inquiry into the attacks - which was held at a secret location - that his son's behaviour deteriorated over a very short period between Year 8 and the start of Year 9. ‌

He said that his son would 'get angry' when he was disagreed with, adding that there was 'always a trigger' for his son's rage. As reported by the Mirror , Mr Rudakubana confirmed that by January 2021 he believed his son "actively hated" him. ‌
