Let me get this straight:

• millions of people are losing Affordable Care Act tax credits and, consequently, losing health insurance

• supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) assistance to alleviate hunger is ending

• inflation continues unabated

• our schools need help

• urban sprawl in Las Vegas is out of control, and

• we’re about to run out of water.

The list of horribles that could be addressed by legislative action goes on and on, but it seems our governor, legislative Republicans and, shamefully, a number of Democratic leaders, are instead advocating for a special session in Carson City to award Warner Bros. and Sony massive tax credits.
