The Buffalo Bills made moves near the trade deadline, just not the trade moves fans were hoping for.
The reunion tour continues.
Buffalo released linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo from its practice squad, and with defensive end Michael Hoecht heading to injured reserve with a torn Achilles , the team had open spots between the active roster and practice squad.
The Bills signed defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis from the practice squad to the active roster and added defensive end Kingsley Jonathan and cornerback Te’Cory Couch to the practice squad, both returning players from past seasons.
There were reports the Bills had also released wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson from the practice squad, though he remains listed on the team’s official roster.
