RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is in custody two days after a gunshot wound victim died in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, 34-year-old Chase Ferguson was gunned down Monday afternoon on the 2800 block of East Millbrook Road.

CBS 17 was on the scene around 5 p.m. after Ferguson was taken by emergency responders to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to scanners, he was shot in the face.

Police had a portion of East Millbrook Road closed for hours to collect evidence and investigate the scene. CBS 17 saw at the scene that the investigation centered around the bus stop. Police scanners also said the shooting could h
