WREX — Two area Volleyball teams aimed to keep their seasons alive on Tuesday Night as we hit the Sectional round of postseason play.

In 1A, two seeded Stockton and top seed in 2A, Rockford Christian, hit the court with a chance to lock up a spot in the Sectional Title.

Stockton took on top seeded Newark in the 1A Eastland Sectional and advanced, sweeping Newark in two sets (25-21, 25-18).

Stockton meets up with Galena on Thursday Night at 6:00 for the Sectional Championship.

As for the Lady Royal Lions, they faced off against two seeded Westmont and with the help of Senior's Julia Irvin and Madison Anspaugh, they kept rolling.

R-C also swept in two sets, winning 25-17 in both sets.
