SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Veterans’ Day came a little early for veterans in Sergeant Bluff this morning.
Folks trickled into the American Legion and lined up for a hot breakfast and quality company.
The event was put on by the Woodbury County Veteran Affairs to kick off November with free food as a “thank you” to the veterans in the community.
Executive Director Loni Kuhlmann said it’s more than just a breakfast for the veterans who have attended for the last three years.
“I mean, they love it. They also get free stuff; we have the goodies that we always present to them, but it’s just a nice way to have that camaraderie for the veterans to have,” said Kuhlmann. “It really brightens people’s moods and it lifts them up, ‘cause a lot of times veterans, if they don’t know anybody, they don’t rea
