GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said that one woman was arrested after she had reportedly attacked a child.

39-year-old Kristen Susanne Mackey was charged with cruelty to a child on Tuesday November 4.

Officials said Mackey had caused physical injury to a child by grabbing them around the neck, leaving visible injuries. The child had also allegedly sustained scratch marks around their neck and forehead.

Authorities have not provided a location for where the incident took place.

Mackey was arrested and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center.
