BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Virginia State Police have released the name of a man killed in a two-truck crash Tuesday.

David M. Johnson, 57 of Evington, died at the scene of the crash that took place shortly after noon Nov. 4, 2025 on Route 221 (Forest Road) in Bedford County.

Police say Johnson, driving a box truck, was travelling west on Route 221, near the intersection with Roaring Run Road, crossed the center line and struck an eastbound tractor trailer.

Two other occupants of the box truck were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer sustained minor injuries, according to police.
