It hasn’t been the smoothest 2025 campaign for Morristown West.

The season opened with an 0-4 start and later a 1-6 mark before the final stretch of region games. However, the Trojans were able to grind out wins over Boone and Cocke County and ultimately clinch the final playoff spot for Region 1-5A.

“Looking forward to the opportunity be here,” West head coach Alvin Sanders said. “We talked to the kids that we got to take, everything that we learned to get to this point, and we got to apply it and take advantage of this opportunity. Not every team in the state gets to do this. We’re one of the few. The mistakes prior to this don’t mean anything at this point. So each week is a one-game season, and we’re just looking for an opportunity to make the most of ours.”

West will travel to No.
