TORONTO - Nathan Rourke has his first All-CFL team selection.
The B.C Lions quarterback was named a league all-star Wednesday in voting by the Football Reporters of Canada, nine CFL head coaches and fans.
Rourke, of Victoria, finished second in CFL passing yards (5,290) and touchdowns (31) but tops in 300-yard games (12) and rushing among quarterbacks (564 yards, 9.2-yard average, 10 touchdowns). B.C. ended its regular season with six straight wins before dispatching the Calgary Stampeders 33-30 in the West Division semifinal last Saturday.
The Lions visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Western final Saturday.
Rourke was among five Lions named to the team, tied with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for second-most behind Saskatchewan (nine).
