Shark attack survivor continues to inspire at NYC marathon

Meet the shark-attack victim and Paralympian who finished the New York City marathon. In 2023, Ali Truwit completed the Copenhagen Marathon, but just 10 days later, she lost her left foot and the lower part of her leg in a shark attack. Less than 2 years later, she miraculously completed the 2025 New York City Marathon with the support of her family and friends, raising money for her charity and inspiring others along the way.
