FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY SUNDAY & MONDAY: The first measurable snow of the 2025-2026 winter season will happen for most of Michiana early next week. It will NOT be anything major by Michiana standards, but it has been a while since the area has had snow. It has been 245 days or 35 weeks since Michiana had 0.1″ of snow (March 5, 2025). In addition to light lake effect snow chances, it will be downright frigid for early November. Afternoon highs will stay in the 30s Sunday and Monday, with a hard freeze expected area-wide Sunday and Monday night. This will kill any bugs still left in Michiana, end the mowing / growing season, and end any remaining ragweed allergies. Forecasted wind chills will also fall into the teens and 20s Sunday through Monday.
