The latest batch of numbers from the Mesa County Valley School District 51 Board of Education election have all but secured the victories for two challengers over two incumbents in Tuesday's election.
Per the Colorado Secretary of State's Office, as of Wednesday afternoon:
Kaci Cole leads incumbent Vice President Will Jones with 54.1% of the vote for the District D seat, tallying 25,442 votes to Jones' 21,598;
Vicki Woods leads incumbent Secretary and Treasurer Angela Lema with 56.9% of the vote for the District E seat, tallying 26,872 votes to Lema's 20,379;
Board President Andrea Haitz leads Mike Rathbone with 52.1% of the vote for the District C seat, tallying 24,491 votes to Rathbone's 22,528.
