OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – A driver who was ejected from his vehicle in a rollover crash in Grand Haven Township was airlifted to an area hospital, sheriff’s deputies said.

The 40-year-old man’s hometown was not available.

Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies responded at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Comstock Street at Mercury Drive.

The investigation showed that the man was driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Comstock Street when he failed to negotiate a curve and failed to stop for a stop sign at Mercury Drive. The Jeep crossed Mercury, struck a tree and rolled over, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.

He was not using a seat belt, police said.
