NORTH BEND, Ore. - A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after causing significant property damage near city hall, according to the North Bend Police Department.

NBPD officials said that 41-year-old Jeffery Allen Hill, a transient, was taken into custody around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 5. Hill faces multiple charges of criminal mischief for allegedly damaging eight city-owned vehicles and several windows at the North Bend Public Works building. The total cost of the damage is still being assessed.

Hill is no stranger to law enforcement, with more than 1,000 police contacts recorded in the countywide database. He has been arrested 31 times in North Bend since July 1, police said.
