Manchester United director of football Jason Wilcox has defended Benjamin Sesko after Gary Neville claimed the forward looks "miles off it".

United completed the signing of Sesko from RB Leipzig in August in a move worth £73.7m . The Slovenia international was also a target for Newcastle United but opted to join Ruben Amorim's side.

He became United's third major signing in attack following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Sesko, though, has so far failed to live up to the hype, only scoring twice in 11 games, leading to Neville coming down hard on him.
