WINTERPORT - A man wanted for murder in New York has been arrested in Winterport.

The U.S. Marshals Service says it developed leads that 52-year-old L amont Dolberry of New York City had fled and had been living at a residence in Maine for the past several months.

On November 4, the Maine Violent Offender Task Force found Dolberry operating an E-Scooter near Cove Road in Winterport .

They say he was safely apprehended and transported to jail where he is awaiting extradition back to New York .
