Kissy kissy, Miss Piggy’s name will be in lights as Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Cole Escola bring the beloved Muppet back to the big screen.
Lawrence told Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ “Las Culturistas” podcast this week that she and Stone will team up with historic Tony winner Escola to revamp the Jim Henson favorite .
“I don’t know if I can announce this, but I’m just going to … Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole is writing it,” said the “Hunger Games” alum, though she didn’t provide any details on the plot of the film.
Earlier this year, “Hacks” producer Escola made history as the first openly non-binary performer to win the Tony for Best Actor in a Play for “Oh, Mary!” — the hit production they also penned, earning a Best Play nomination.
