ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: A lockdown at Cave Spring Hugh School is over, according to a Roanoke County Public Schools spokesperson.

ORIGINAL STORY: Cave Spring High School is on lockdown Wednesday afternoon “as a precaution due to the report of a potential situation near the school campus,” according to a Roanoke County Public Schools spokesman, who says, “All students and staff are safe.”
Parents are being asked not to go to the school until further notice, as access to the school is restricted.
Cave Spring Elementary School and Penn Forest ES dismissals are being delayed due to the same incident, according to the school division.
