Shams Charania: A United States Congressional committee is meeting with NBA officials Wednesday in Washington, D.C., in wake of the indictments of Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier and Damon Jones, sources tell ESPN. The meeting is considered a briefing for members of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and will include conversations about the league's partnerships with sportsbooks and measures to prevent illegal use of non-public information, sources said.

More on Terry Rozier
Shams Charania: That's what I've asked about this Terry Rozier thing. Like if your boy wants money, just give him money, if he wants to make a hundred grand, just give it to him. But it's like then what I get responded with is he didn't know he was taking that information to sell it to a network of gamblers. So how many players in the league today do that? I think a lot a lot of guys give information to people around them. YouTube | Nov. 4, 2025
Q. Why in the hell would someone like Terry Rozier, who's made over $160 million, waste their time and their reputation on a $100,000 bet? Explain to me the mind of a player. That's why I think there's something weird going on here. Tim Donaghy: Great question. But what you have to realize is that you know gambling addiction is just like drugs and alcohol. And you get a high from that. I got a high from it. I enjoyed doing it every single day in my life. So there's a possibility that he may be addicted to gambling and he just liked the high of doing that. People don't realize it but gambling is just as powerful of an addiction as drugs and alcohol. Tim Donaghy: I think we're just at the tip of the iceberg. I think when you talk about arrests being made by the FBI, I think the guys that are arrested are going to sit down and be scared to death with what they're facing and they're going to start to cooperate and they're going to tell the FBI everything they know. And this thing is going to spread like wildfire and you're going to find out that this is a lot bigger than it is right now. And it's pretty big. YouTube | Nov. 4, 2025
Anthony Chiang: Heat lists Vlad Goldin (G League), Tyler Herro (ankle surgery), Kasparas Jakucionis (groin strain) and Terry Rozier (not with team) as out for tomorrow’s game vs. Lakers in LA. Norman Powell is questionable after missing the last two games with a groin strain. x.com | Nov. 1, 2025
Pablo Torre: "And the league ultimately chose not to inform the Miami Heat and other teams about the unusual betting activity before Scary Terry got traded to South Beach. Instead, they chose to defer to the feds, who, according to Rozier’s attorney, Jim Trusty, 'appear to be taking the word of spectacularly incredible sources rather than relying on actual evidence of wrongdoing.'" Jim Trusty (Rozier’s Attorney), quoted: “Terry was cleared by the NBA, and these prosecutors revived that non-case.” Pablo Torre: "But on Wednesday, a source in the NBA league office disputed that to Pablo Torre Finds Out:" NBA League Source, quoted: “Terry’s investigation was never closed, so he was not cleared of anything. Us not being able to find something is not the same as cleared. It is true we did not find a violation of our rules, but we did not close our investigation.” YouTube | Oct. 30, 2025
Pablo Torre Finds Out: NEW: The NBA is still investigating Terry Rozier and Malik Beasley, sources say, even after internal inquiries didn't find a "smoking gun" on their phones. The league previously probed Beasley for betting on other sports — and sources say the feds haven't cleared him either. x.com | Oct. 30, 2025
Barry Jackson: So @PabloTorre quotes NBA source with this:“Terry’s investigation was never closed, so he was not cleared of anything...It is true we did not find a violation of our rules, but we did not close our investigation.”(Makes it all the more outrageous that Heat wasn't told pre-trade) x.com | Oct. 30, 2025
Barry Jackson: Another way Heat is being wronged: Windy said yesterday he doesn't expect NBA will allow Heat to use Rozier as salary facilitator in trade. His salary (purely for cap rules) would be helpful if high salary player asks out from another team x.com | Oct. 30, 2025
