Thunder Bay police have charged a 24-year-old man in connection with a murder that took place last week on the city's north side.
Police were initially called to a residence in the 100 block of College Street on the afternoon of Oct. 30, where a deceased 67-year-old man was found.
In an update issued Wednesday, police identified the deceased as Maurice Kenneth Bruins.
Police said they believed the victim interrupted a break-and-enter at the home.
Police said the suspect left the residence in the victim's vehicle, drove to a community outside of Thunder Bay, and committed another break-and-enter.
