The Legislature's two main housing committees met jointly Wednesday to hear about when the federal shutdown might end, and what the state is looking at in 2026 in terms of funding for housing.
"This is a hearing we've called to get a handle, as much as anyone can get a handle, on what is happening, with respect to the federal government," said Rep. Marc Mihaly, D-East Calais, chair of the House Committee on General and Housing.
