CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Hamilton County child services had documented concerns over an infant’s safety before she was allegedly killed by her mother.

A court complaint alleges Breanna Wright, 20, “caused serious physical harm by blunt force” to her 7-month-old daughter, Leylani Wright, resulting in her death on Oct. 30.

The incident took place at the family’s home in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue on Oct. 18.

Cincinnati police were dispatched at 11:15 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive child, police Lt. Jonathan Cunningham said.

The infant was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where staff reported to Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services that she was in cardiac arrest, according to Hamilton County juvenile court records obtained by FOX19 NOW.
