EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) — A mixed-use building on Post Road in East Greenwich will temporarily be unoccupied after a car hit a support beam Wednesday morning.
Deputy Fire Chief Dave Gorman said the collision caused "significant damage" and a temporary wall will need to be built.
No one was hurt, according to Gorman, and a structural engineer was called in to assess the damage.
Gorman said the crash was caused by driver error.
