Nashville International Airport is among the first in the country to roll out the new biometric eGates from New York-based identity security company Clear.

The gates are designed for enhanced and expedited security checks. According to a release, the eGates conduct real-time biometric verification, matching a traveler’s facial image with her or his identity document and boarding pass.
BNA is the 10th airport in the country to introduce eGates, following launches at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport, among others.
