ST PAUL, Minn. — For the first time in seven years, St. Paul will have a new mayor.

After guiding the city through the pandemic and a federal government hostile to many of its actions, Mayor Melvin Carter congratulated Mayor-elect Kaohly Her on Thursday.

While Her isn't dealing with a pandemic, all signs indicate that an increasingly aggressive Trump administration could soon target Minnesota's Capital City for its policies on immigration.
