MINNEAPOLIS — A 16-year-old is accused of fatally shooting another teen following an "interaction" at a birthday gathering in north Minneapolis late Sunday, according to court documents.
The 16-year-old is charged with second-degree murder after prosecutors say the teen shot another teen in the basement of a home on the 2900 block of Russell Avenue North. KARE 11 doesn't typically name juvenile suspects, and the victim's identity has not yet been released by officials.
According to the charging documents, officers were called to the home shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile male on a couch with a gunshot wound to the head, and a semiautomatic handgun in the room. Prosecutors say a witness flagged down police shortly after the shooting, telling off
